I got a fantastic opportunity interning at BLINKINK for Nicos Livesey’s claymation MV “Glore” Music by Radkey.
I had been following Livesey for a while and was in awe with the use of crazy colour and psychedelia present in his work. Our visually-exciting style could be seen as quite similar.

At Clapham Rd Studios in London I was carving sets made from clay. Strangely enough the ship load of multi-coloured clay came from just down the road from my house in Devon. Who’d of thought that that’s where he found UV clay!
In a small group we were guided to make specific small pieces such as dots and lines to decorate larger objects made such as a drain pipe and TV screen ‘video’.

I made a JAJA!
Work Station
UV light show
UV zoom through tunnel
Drainpipe
TV ‘video’
Carving
Making
Designing
I also got to assist an animator in secondary animation. (I animated the globe spinning with animator Carmen- wooo!) My first animation in a professional stop-motion. I loved being down by the lights and action of the camera.
t’s very fun to work at BLINKINK, I dreamed of working there when I was a a student. Now I admire their work, but I would like to focus on how I want to change the world.
Please have a look at the music video, it super awesome, well done Nicos and team XD!
