Mountain Mural @ Nomad Festival

Nomad Festival set in the heart of Taiwan near the famous Sun Moon Lake in Puli, is based on the large grounds of a university during holiday time in October.

The festival span over three days and included some marvellous hand picked stalls, food and drinks, health products, music and activities for everyone. To my surprise I even got to go in a hot air ballon after just waking up to go and brush my teeth, how crazy and lucky is that!

We arrived earlier to set up the artists painting area and start painting. The place was so beautiful, nestled among the vast mountains in autumn, where the leaves were turning golden purple.

I painted a mural for the recycling area where people could dispose of their waste mindfully. I used psychedelic colours from the natural influences I was inspired by such as the colour of the sky at dusk and the nearby trees, plants and mountains.

I was invited to the festival by a friend CreepyMouse, a grafitti and calligraphy artist in Taiwan.

He also invited many other spray can artists to participate in doing personal pieces on a huge board by the main stage. It looked amazing with the mountains in the backdrop.

A big line up featuring band Eggplant Egg which is a popular band among the young people in Taiwan. As well as many others including a reggae band from Japan.

Some of the graffiti artists included:

MACK

DEBE

ASERK

DISK

BLACKZAO
